Crane’s Country Store is opening its doors to the public this week, but the giant crane has been sitting in a room.
The crane was built in the 1950s to replace the old one, which was destroyed by a fire in the early 1900s.
The company says that it’s “working on some major updates” to the space, which is located in the basement of the store, but there are no word yet on what those updates will be.
In the meantime, if you can’t wait for the opening of the new store, the old crane will be moved to a storage facility in downtown Los Angeles. [Polygon]
