The world’s most expensive cranes land at US Navy base

The United States has finally completed construction of a new $9 billion cranes factory in Florida, the Navy announced on Wednesday.

The $6 billion facility at Naval Air Station Futenma, near Jacksonville, will bring about 1,000 jobs to the region, the Air Force said in a statement.

“We have a proud history of supporting our military, and the construction of the new Futenia Facility will add to our long-standing commitment to military readiness and military readiness-related investment,” Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James said in the statement.

“The Navy’s continued investment in our military is crucial to America’s security and our economy.”
